Ongoing Construction Activities
Roadway resurfacing activities along 5400 South, between 4800 W to Bangerter Highway, will continue until mid-October during nighttime hours from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Drivers should remain alert to changing traffic patterns and lane shifts through this area. Anticipate delays and consider alternate routes.
- Noise, dust, night lighting, and vibration are expected.

PROJECT Overview and Schedule
The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) plans to resurface 5400 South from 4800 West to Bangerter Highway from July 31 through late fall 2023*. This project will resurface the roadway to extend the life of the pavement, replace various utility covers, and reconstruct various pedestrian access ramps.
Drivers are advised to expect changing traffic patterns, and intermittent lane restrictions, and to follow posted detours.

4700 So Construction Project Update - September 1 to 8, 2023
Concrete Replacement Update - September 1 to 8, 2023
South Side of 4700 South, 4520 West to 4720 West
Sidewalk and driveway replacement in this section will begin as early as today, Monday, August 28. Crews will start at 4620 West, and work west toward 4720 West. This work will take place over the next week. Properties that are further east will be impacted sooner than properties further west.
In order to allow the concrete to set properly, property owners can expect access closures of up to one week once concrete has been poured in front of their residence. Residents are encouraged to use alternate side street parking during that time.
Traffic Shift | 4800 West - 5400 West
Crews have begun sidewalk, curb and gutter, fence, and asphalt removal on the south side of 4700 South between 4800 West and 5400 West. In order to accommodate this work, travel lanes in this section have shifted to the north side of the road. One lane will remain available in each direction.
Driveway access will remain available whenever possible throughout this work
On-Street Parking | 4700 South
On-street parking on either side of 4700 South between 4000 West and 5400 West will be unavailable through out the remainder of the project. Residents are encouraged to use driveway or side street parking as an alternative.
